Sofia Franc, founder of Salt, is a seasoned industry expert with a proven track record for running successful restaurants. She uses her expertise to help new and existing hospitality businesses, from new concept development projects, to restaurant turnarounds, bespoke training workshops, kitchen and interior design support, product launches and more.

Based in London, Salt operates both in the UK and overseas.
Sofia’s love for great food and drink came from many family feasts growing up in Scotland and in Italy. Her passion for Italian food took her to the River Café where she worked for 7 years. Looking for a new and different challenge, she moved on to Restaurant Manager at Philip Howard’s 2 Michelin Star restaurant The Square. She then worked with Skye Gyngell at Petersham Nurseries as the restaurant’s General Manager and opened Spring at Somerset House as General Manager. She has led and supported teams both front and back of house through encouragement and honesty, delivering positive results from informed and passionate people. ‘I believe in helping people by giving them the tools and support to be the best that they can be.’
